March 2012 Events

The March calendar is buzzing with events, St David’s Day, Mothering Sunday & St Patrick’s Day. All call for some seasonal baking and savoury recipes.

for St David’s Day we will decorate Magic Cakes with leeks, daffs & dragons and perhaps the occasional Gavin Henson.

March we will see the comeback of our fingerlickingly gorgeous Black Velvet Cups, a Guinness dark chocolate sponge, topped with Bailey’s Vanilla Frosting.

White Christmas 2011

This year Konditor & Cook is delivering a white Christmas. We can’t promise real snow, but we love a dusting of icing sugar on Stollen, a sprinkling of white glitter on Magic Cakes and a white layer of homemade royal icing on our Christmas Fruit Cakes.
Legendary mince pies, decorated biscuits, cinnamon stars and chocolate surprises, all wrapped and ribboned make perfect gifts for everyone.

Halloween 2011

This Halloween Konditor & Cook presents “The Little Cake Shop of Horrors”, where bakers rustle up devilled cookies; decorators dream up black magic cakes & bloody body parts and chefs will concoct a special grave diggers’ chili. Our charming retail team will greet you with a bad attitude and a grim face to match.

For edible gift Konditor & Cook will be creating some fantastic magic cakes and our popular Raspberry Chequerboard Cake will be transformed into a heart-shaped cake.

LOVE is a four letter word

This year’s inspiration for Valentine’s Day coincides with a new 4 letter format for our famous Magic Cakes. We also stock a wide variety of seasonal chocolates and confectionery. There is something for everyone on our Valentine’s List 2011 from “LOVE baked in” cookies to an Anti-Valentine’s “Dodgy Jammers”.

March: Rhubarb, Mothering Sunday & St Patrick's Day

During March we are celebrating a host of seasonal events, St David’s Day, Mothering Sunday and St Patrick’s Day.

The first shoots of Rhubarb will appear in recipes, from muffins to tarts, granola pots & more.

For Mothering Sunday (14th) we will be decorating some lovely ‘Gold Star Gingerbread Mums’, bake Cherry Brandy Sponge Hearts and Magic Cakes will be in this years colours pink, orange & purple.
So don’t forget that most important woman in your life!

The highly addictive Black Velvet Cups – fantastic moist chocolate Guinness sponges with an Irish Cream topping – are now available again.

And of course, our amazing, individually hand-decorated Magic Cakes have been given the Paddy treatment.
