    We are recruiting for various positions in our Central London sites:

    You might be at the beginning of your career in which case we can provide training and development to help progress you to the next level or you might already have experience to enter in a senior position - either way we’d love to hear from you!

    What is most important is that you are looking for a long term career in retail and have a passion for cake.

    About the Jobs Available: Supervisor

    • You will inspire the retail team to drive sales and increase spend per head

    • You will act as a Duty Manager in the absence of General & Assistant Manager, taking responsibility for the smooth running of the entire site

    • You will undertake various administration activities from stock management to cashing up

    • Circa £14.5k - 16.5k per annum depending on experience + mystery shopper bonus

    Assistant Manager

    • You will support the General Manager in leading and developing the retail teams to deliver outstanding customer service

    • You will inspire the retail team to drive sales and increase spend per head

    • You will deputise for the General Manager in their absence, taking responsibility for the smooth running of the entire site

    • You will be responsible for administration activities such as stock management & labour planning

    • Salary of £18k to £22k per annum depending on experience + a bonus scheme worth up to 12.5% of the annual salary

    General Manager

    • You will inspire and lead the retail team to give great customer service, drive sales and increase spend per head.

    • You will work closely with the assistant manager, taking responsibility for the smooth running of the operations of the entire site.

    • You will be responsible for the performance management and development of your team.

    • You will undertake various administration activities from stock management to labour planning.

    • You will be reviewing and responding to your weekly flash & monthly P&L report and monitoring & controlling your stores KPIs

    • Circa £27 to 30k per annum depending on experience + a bonus scheme worth up to 12.5% of the annual salary

  • Marketing Assistant

    Marketing Assistant Job Description: Company background: We are Konditor & Cook a 21st century family cake business. We create hand-crafted cakes for ‘cake lovers in London’, in search of a tasty treat or for a special occasion. At Konditor & Cook we believe that there are few greater pleasures in life than baking for others. We get as much joy from baking every brownie and icing every cake as our family of customers do from eating and sharing them. We want to spread our belief in the sheer pleasure of baking for others. We are looking for a cake lover who is dynamic, enthusiastic, creative, happy to work individually or with the team and would like to join a 21st century family orientated cake company. We have just completed our 3yr strategic plan and are on target for growth. This is a perfect and exciting opportunity to join a company who is developing, growing and evolving the brand. The Marketing Assistant would support the Brand Manager in daily Marketing/PR and digital activities :-

    Duties include:

    •Assisting and supporting the Brand Marketing Manager with all company Marketing/PR/digital activities

    • Take ownership of developing an online presence, improving search rankings and developing a social media strategy and improving visibility over time.

    • Monitor website analytics and report back as required

    •The creation, design and production of marketing materials and literature

• Providing support for seasonal events (plan prepared by manager) as and when required

    •Writing press releases, articles and promotional material for the company as well as press relations (with support from the Brand Manager)

    • Preparing succinct copy for the website

    • Uploading marketing material to online libraries and managing social media sites

    •Updating and maintaining the Brand Manager’s media database and collating press cutting book.

    Essential requirements of the role:

    • A BA (Hons) degree in marketing and PR/business degree with a marketing element and or practical experience working in Marketing

    • Creation & design of marketing literature

    • Sound understanding of marketing principles

    • Computer proficient with Microsoft Office, Adobe, InDesign and Adobe Photoshop

    • Personable, presentable and articulate

    • Effective project and time management skills

    • Strong copywriting skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas

    • Strong administration and organisational skills

    • Experience of working with social media platforms

    • Strong marketing creativity/idea generation and ability to apply to brand.

    On occasion, may be expected as part of the culture to go above and beyond the call of duty in order to complete a project accurately and on time.

    Personal attributes: Creative, passionate about Cake, uses initiative, pro-active, works well individually and as part of the team.

    Basic salary £20,000. Reviewed after a 6 month performance review.

  • Hotline Asssitant

    Cake HQ

    Objective: To carry out the process of taking incoming cake orders (both online, hotline and wholesale), ensuring customers are provided with excellent service and orders are processed efficiently and accurately, and to deal with all external enquiries into the website and Hotline.

    Reports To: Hotline Manager

    Key Responsibilities:

    • To field all external enquiries into the business through the Cake Hotline and website (including Live Chat) in a professional and customer focussed manner and:

    • Answer all general queries (shop opening times, ordering processes, Cake School queries etc.)

    • Transfer calls for shops or members of the Head Office Team to the relevant person, taking and passing on messages by email where appropriate.

    • Take cake orders (see below)

    • Take cake orders through the cake hotline and website

    • Follow the official cake order process

    • Accurately price bespoke orders (consulting decorators and Hotline Supervisor where appropriate)

    • Monitor volume of orders going to each site and where possible distribute evenly (placing blocks on the website on orders for shops that have reached full capacity)

    • Provide excellent customer service, suggesting appropriate products and upselling to achieve sales targets

    • Ensure customers are aware of other relevant K&C services (e.g. Cake School), cross selling where appropriate

    • Organise cake consultations for complex bespoke orders and to hold consultations only once approved by your line manager

    • Follow agreed administration processes effectively and in an accurate manner

    • Take wholesale orders through the cake hotline and wholesale email

    • Follow the official wholesale order process

    • Provide excellent customer service and upselling to achieve sales targets

    • Creating invoices on the system

    • Booking deliveries

    • Taking cake school bookings and other cake school support as necessary

    • Making online amendments and assisting with website administration where necessary

    • Work with the Hotline Manager and the rest of the team to support them

    • Liaise with the Distribution Team to ensure efficient and cost effective delivery of products to customers

    • Build and maintain strong working relationship with site teams (GMS, Kitchen Supervisors, Decorators etc.), and Head Office

    • Flexibility to get involved in one-off projects and undertake any other reasonable requests from your line manager


Kitchen Roles

  • Cake Decorator

    We’re looking for a skilled enthusiastic cake decorator to work at one of our Central London sites

    About the Job

    • Setting and finishing our famous sponge cakes such as the Curly Whirly and our legendary magic cakes.

    • Inscribe customers custom messages and make bespoke cakes

    • To undertake general kitchen duties in support of your section (eg. setting up and clearing away baking equipment , cleaning and organising fridges)

    • Stock-taking for the section and similar administrative duties

    About You

    • Broad decorating experience, including work with marzipan and royal icing

    • Ability to meet challenging and un-timely bespoke customer requests.

    • Friendly and engaging communication style • Attention to detail and high standards
