A note for your diary!
The Food Chain, Konditor & Cook’s nominated charity, will be hosting a Carol Service on Tuesday 15 December at 7pm in St. Paul’s Covent Garden.
There will be traditional carols for all to sing, some more unusual carols from St. Paul’s choir, a selection of funny and thought-provoking readings.
The evening will be rounded off, as always, with wine and Konditor & Cook’s delicious mince pies & cinnamon stars.
These are a few of our favourite things...30 November 2009 by Gerhard
Konditor & Cook team members talk about their favourite products, Stephanie in our new Stamford Street shop loves muffins:
“Working at Konditor & Cook, one of the most frequently asked questions we get asked is ‘How do you manage to stay so slim when you are surrounded by temptation all day long?’
Yes, we eat what we sell. But if you can avert your eyes from the Banoffie Pie and not overindulge in Chocolate Whisky Bombe there are many other items that cater for special diets including Wheat Free, Dairy Free and even Low Sugar and No Added Fat treats like my favourite: Blueberry Müsli Muffins.
Marco Pierre White takes K&C mince pies to Hellmand26 November 2009 by Gerhard
Marco Pierre White is flying out to cook for the British troops in Hellmand this weekend and in his suitcase will be 200 of Konditor & Cook’s delicious mince pies!
This year gift boxes of our mince pies are available from Selfridges for the first time. And Selfridges will be donating the food for this cook-off.
We were delighted to donate our famed pies for this cause, especially since one of our staff’s husband is stationed in Hellmand at the moment.
The News of the World will be following Marco Pierre White on his trip to Afghanistan.

Mika Magic Cakes - Last Orders!22 November 2009 by Gerhard
We collaborated with Mika to help him launch his album “The Boy Who Knew Too Much”.
A fantastic, edible 3-D version of the album went out to radio stations & the music press.
Tucking into the cakes and listening to Mika’s album must have come close to Heston Blumenthal’s seafood dish, served complete with i-pod & the sound of crashing waves.

City A.M. gave recognition to our delicious Hot Chocolate this morning:
“KONDITOR & COOK With branches at Chancery Lane, Borough Market and by the Gherkin, Konditor is the City chocolate lover’s Mecca. It has a mean hot chocolate made from two types of dark Belgian chocolate. That’s mixed with double cream, whole milk, natural vanilla and a spot of sugar to create something truly indulgent. £2.85 for a large cup.”
