BLACK VELVET CUP CAKE

Last turn to the finish for Black Velvet Cup30 March 2010 by Gerhard

It’s the last few days for the ‘Black Velvet Cups’ in our shops as we will be changing to the equally yummy ‘Dorset Apple Cup’ after Easter

Do come in and get your final fix of this sweet seductive cake.
The sponge is ultra moist and has great depth of flavour. All down to the most brilliant combination of dark chocolate and real Guinness.

To top it all – a nice creamy head of the most fingerlickingly seductive Irish Cream frosting.
So good on its own, I’m tempted to bottle it as an aphrodisiac.

Cakes don’t get much better than this one – but as the saying goes: All good things come to an end!

Cabbage Patch Bunny

Cake of the Week22 March 2010 by Gerhard

We enjoyed making this large 3-D pink bunny sitting in a delicious cabbage patch of its own!
The base of the cake is a 12” Curly Whirly, chocolate vanilla cake, the 3-d Bunny was formed out of dark chocolate cake and covered in pink mazipan.

Everyone felt it was an über-cool design, the colour combo is sping-tingling.
Well done to the team at 22 Cornwall Rd, Waterloo SE1.

This cake was created to celebrate a birthday, but will no doubt inspire us for future Easter celebrations.
In the meantime check out the Konditor & Cook Easter List 2010

All Konditor & Cook shops are now brimming with baked Easter goodies & seasonal chocolate confectionery. Come and see us for your seasonal gifts.

The goth wedding couple came into our Borough Market Store today to express thanks for their cake which went out last Thursday – they were thrilled! And so were Tim Burton & Helena Bonham-Carter, who were shown pictures of the cake whilst on the red carpet for the Alice In Wonderland premiere at Leicester Square!
